Kuhnke are one of very few companies to specialise in bi-stable solenoids. There is a selection of standard designs to choose from, or Kuhnke will manufacture a purpose build solenoid for a customers own application.
Selection depends on the push, pull, holding and return forces needed, the space envelope available, operating voltage, duty cycle etc etc. The combination of variants provides a very large number of standard possibilities, with each solenoid effectively custom designed, at competitive prices.
The technology of the bistable solenoid is more advanced than that used in simple linear devices. Kuhnke production and development is backed my in-house technical research on magnetic fields, specialist applications and tooling.

Bi-Stable There are 3 sizes of standard product in the Kuhnke bistable linear solenoid range. These are the BI8, BI13 and BI17 models. Each is based on an open frame linear thrust and pull type solenoid design. |
