H. Kuhnke Ltd was established in 1960 as part of the worldwide Kuhnke group of companies. Kuhnke GmbH now manufacture electronics, solenoid and pneumatic products at Kuhnke owned factories in Germany, Italy and Romania. Kuhnke brand relays where sold to Song Chuan Precision Company Ltd in China in 2005, where production of this product continues.

H. Kuhnke Ltd became independent in 2003 following a management buy out. The company remains committed to all Kuhnke brand products, including Kuhnke brand relays, and is the exclusive partner for all sales in the UK and Ireland, of Kuhnke brand products wherever they are manufactured.

Our main business is based on components that are used in automation and control. Since the MBO of 2003 we have developed the sales of other manufacturers products so that our service in each market sector is more comprehensive. We have set up generic subsidiaries on the internet to help our customers find us easier, get the information needed quicker and do more business with us.

The Solenoid Company

Almost every solenoid application is individually specified. Years of experience in engineering Kuhnke linear and rotary solenoids into automation, industry, aviation, marine and other specialist applications taught us that our customers would benefit from a dedicated website. We have added low cost products from our own Chinese manufacturing partners.

The Timer & Counter Company

This site combines two product ranges, Kuhnke and Hengstler. The specialist niche pneumatic timers and counters that Kuhnke have become famous for, are mated with the electronic timers and counters from Hengstler. You will find other products that are associated with timing, counting and control, including the pneumatic actuators that make up a timing circuit, electronic devices that interface with pneumatics, and the complete Hengstler range of encoders.

Kuhnke & Siemens worked together to produce a pneumatic output device that sits on the two wire AS-i(Acutator Sensor Interface) bus system. This "high tech" product is the Kuhnke Airbox. There are over 30 models to suit the vast number of networks now being built using ASI. We are the leading experts in this field and created a specialist website to help designers, system builds and users.

As exclusive agents in the UK and Ireland for most products that we sell, we provide national support both direct to customer and via a network of distributors and catalogue companies. Extensive stocks are maintained at our main stores in Romsey, Hampshire. We ship same day if in stock.
